Not to beat a dead horse

Still can’t get over the fact that I could attend both undergraduation and my second alumni weekend this year – in the same weekend – for the same degree!

Meanwhile, Commencement and Alumni weekend are gonna have to duke it out for my attendance. Let’s take a look at the opening volleys:

The only Commencement email so far was a block of scrawny, undersized text. Here’s an excerpt so you can see the lengths to which they went to make it appealing and inviting:

The Baccalaureate Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 13th.  The Baccalaureate Ceremony is a 50-minute program that includes music, readings, prayers and a guest speaker.  Two consecutive ceremonies, at 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. will be held in Irvine Auditorium in order to accommodate all those who wish to attend.

Unclear if the College knows what it’s up against. You see, Alumni Weekend is taking the challenge seriously, and has shot out to a commanding lead with color!:

Graduation’s best hope for a comeback is with opening up the annual Commencement Announcements email – or just by stealing Barnard’s speaker.
