At some point this past weekend, I checked the weather on my phone and was faintly amused to note that NOAA had issued an Excessive Heat Watch in Seattle:
Granted, the day ended up hotter than 67 degrees, but not by much:
(Admittedly, the following day — which I failed to screenshot — reached 91. Otherwise known, in the other Washington, as Tuesday.)
I used the app to check a number of other cities, none of which had been issued similar warnings despite registering substantially comparable temperatures. That’s right: we can’t take the heat because we never really get any.
But seriously, don’t come to Seattle; it rains all the time.
